Charles Dickens and Dr Johnson were the first to discover the charms of Beaumaris, with its magical blend of designer shops and friendly pubs which has retained its character to this day. Lying at the very heart of an officially designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, there are Blue Flag golden sands to be found everywhere and many outdoor recreational pursuits can be be found locally, which include golf, riding, shooting, fishing, sailing and surfing as well as cycling and motor sports.
