, Abereiddy, Pembrokeshire, Wales

Abereiddy Beach is a sand and pebble beach with excellent water quality (2008). The beach is located on the north west coast of Pembrokeshire between Strumble Head and St David's Head. The slate background gives a brilliant deep blue colour to the water in the Blue Lagoon - a breached quarry. The beach is popular for boating, surfing and canoeing but care should be taken as heavy surf can develop quite quickly. Abereiddy Beach is a fine starting point for a coastal walk with magnificent cliff scenery and grear sunsets. Facilities: Dogs allowed. Toilets are available. A mobile kiosk visits the car park. Car parking free next to the beach.
